Haithco joined Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Detroit in February of 2014, and will provide leadership to the Fund Development and Marketing Communications Departments, while building a donor-centered culture of philanthropy agency-wide. Cheryl and her four member team will concentrate on increasing philanthropic contributions and long-term loyalty from agency stakeholders, heightening agency awareness through effective marketing and communications strategies, and event management.
Cheryl previously served as the Development Officer for Think Detroit/PAL and subsequently, the Development Director of the award-winning Japhet School in Madison Heights. Cheryl is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), having served on the Board of Directors and the International Diversity Committee for the organization. Additionally, Cheryl has served as chair and co-chair of the National Philanthropy Day Dinner. She currently serves on the Mercy High School Alumnae Board.
