On Saturday, April 5th, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Detroit partnered with the Marc Roberts Experience in Southfield for a barbershop recruitment event in support of the 100 Mentors in 100 Days Campaign. The barbershop recruitment initiative was designed to facilitate conversation surrounding the critical need for male volunteers to serve as mentors to our boys on our active waiting list. The barbershop has traditionally been known as a common place for men to congregate, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Detroit decided to bring the conversation to the men! Shop owner and community supporter, Marc Roberts, opened the doors of his barbershop for this special event understanding the importance of transformational mentoring relationships in the lives of young boys in our community.
