Banana Republic has launched a public fundraising campaign by allowing consumers to vote for proceeds to go back to one of four (4) national non-profit organizations selected for inclusion in this program. Banana Republic will be giving away up to $500,000 with 5% of all sales at participating stores between June 5-8, 2014. Disbursement of funds will be determined by the percentage of votes each charity receives between May 26 and June 8, 2014

Banana Republic will encourage online and in-store costumers to participate in the fundraiser while they shop, and giving them a voice in how funds are distributed and becoming brand ambassadors through online voting. The four charities included are Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Clubs, Dress for Success and Habitat for Humanity. Voting will take place at Funds will be distributed back to the network via the revenue share model per the zip code of the vote. Adding a zip code during the online voting is optional and agencies should remind voters to enter their zip code for funds to be redirected back to their local agency.

During the promotional term, Banana Republic will offer in-store discounts on qualifying Banana Republic products and offer 25% off all products with 5% going back to the community partners.
